Harlow has given me the honours of premiering their new video for “Just Me” (shot and directed by Miguel at Yeah Films) this morning. If I haven’t already talked your ear off about them, Harlow is a grungy alt-pop band from Hamilton and their live show will stop your heart. I’m so in love with the look of this video as it switches from pristine black & white to grainy 90s grunge video quality. Miguel is a literal genius and Michelle is too cool for words. In all honesty, I could talk about Harlow for years without stopping, so I’ll shut up and let you watch the video now.

Follow them on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram because their glitchy posts will make you feel like the 90s never ended.

HOWEVER, you’ve now watched the video so…here I am, not shutting up. Typical.

Harlow hasn’t always been Harlow, or at least not for me. Harlow was/is Michelle. My best friend since preschool. She’s been with me through literally everything (except my first steps and my first words) and I’m so excited that I get to be on this journey with her. A year ago, we sat down with Jeff (the instrument brains in the operation and her lovely boyfriend) in a Starbucks to discuss her new music vision and how to make it happen. A year later, they have an EP and a handful of incredible videos traveling through the universe. I’m so proud of them and can’t wait to see them playing the Molson Amp someday. I love them like my own children, and I love Michelle like a sister. I hope you fall in love with them too. ?
