PINE has been one of my fave Ontario bands for a few years now, and I’ve definitely been missing them since Pillow Talk came out in 2017. They’ve finally announced their first full length, accompanied by the release of “Maladroit” which I have listened to — and I want to be entirely accurate here — easily 9000 times.
I find myself humming this song everywhere I go. It’s such a blend of genres (read: my way of escaping trying to define it) so it fits every mood & situation. And Dar’s voice is just like….. TOO good.
I’ve been writing this in the slowest way possible because I’ve had the track on repeat for hours and just keep… getting lost in the song and forgetting to write. So in the time it’s taken me to write this, the song just hit 10k spins on Spotify! 🎉
Pine’s self-titled album is out on September 13th (soon!!!!), you can preorder it here. I’d recommend keeping your eyes on this space for tour dates because their live show is not to be missed.
