If you haven’t noticed in the last week or so, I’ve split this website into two websites. So far, I feel a lot more organized and I feel like things are already off to a great start. This site will remain with posts about what I’m up to, along with music industry advice. Soft Sound Press will be where you find all my new music recommendations, concert photos, interviews, etc. So all of that being said…. this edition of LOCALLY SOURCED is over on the new site! I’m giving you a lil snippet of what you’ll find (and there are some real gems in here) but you’ll have to travel over there to check out the full post.
Some of the songs you’ll find…
PONY – Limerence
Hands down one of my fave songs of the year, but I’ve already been a PONY stan for a looooong time now. So I’m probably a little biased.
Homestead – Lifeline
Sounds like I’d imagine it would feel to smash glass with a baseball bat in slow motion.
Justin Beauchamp – Another Fantasy
First off: harmonies. Second: Every time this song ends, I don’t realize we’re already at that point and feel totally despondent that it’s over… despite the fact that I can just listen to it again.
Seatkickr – Hands
My ears perked up as soon as I heard the lyrics “… or maybe a man with a chainsaw, he’d kill us all” and she had my full attention from there on out.
Little India – Calypso
I’m a sucker for Greek mythology, so this appealed to me on multiple levels (mainly the “we’re referencing Greek mythology” level and the “we wrote a really insanely good song” level).
