Something new for ya today! höneylip is BRAND new with only one song online so far, but I’m absolutely loving “Cling”. Imagine being this great right from the jump?? Can’t be me.
This song fits in perfectly on both my early 2000s nostalgia playlists and my current music library. I don’t know if that says more about the song or me, but either way… feeling pretty good about it.
It reminds me of when pop punk artists would collaborate with EDM artists or DJs… except that’s just this band’s sound on their own. I don’t know if I’ve ever found a band before that nailed this sound as their main genre. I didn’t realize there was a niche that hadn’t been explored yet until I listened to this. Now I’m going to have to dig around looking for more while I wait for höneylip to release more music. Hopefully I won’t be waiting too long.
