If you have followed my social media lately, you would know I usually loathe Christmas music. This year, I have found a few country artists that changed my mind about it.
Here is my list of great country Christmas music:
1. Asleep At The Wheel – Lone Star Christmas
You will get the classic Christmas songs but with that, you will find songs with a special Texas Twist. These include songs like Merry Texas Christmas Y’all, Christmas in Jail, and Deck the Halls Boogie! You will be surprised with the great way Asleep At The Wheel can reproduce a song!
2. Kacey Musgraves – A Very Kacey Christmas
She sings all the classic songs that everyone loves, but my favorite song on the album is A Willie Nice Christmas (Feat. Willie Nelson). The sound of the steel guitar really gives it something a little extra!
3.George Strait- Merry Christmas Strait To You
I have to add this record. Why you may ask? Well this is my Daddy’s favorite Christmas album. We have had to get a new one 3 times because how many times it has been worn out!
4. Various Artists – Stars and Snow: A Texas Country Christmas
This album is just a classic Christmas album with another hint of Texas Twist. If you like the early Texas Music Scene you will love this Christmas album.
and this last one is for everyone who celebrates Hanukkah
5. The Gibbonses- Adam Sandler’s Hanukkah Song with a Texas Country Twist
Okay this is probably my favorite holiday song! The way they took a song and made it perfect for the scene they are in!
